The previous owners had a marble threshold joining the floors of the bathroom and the hallway. During the demo, we salvaged the marble piece.

But this weekend, while the misses was cleaning off some of the old mortar on the underside of the threshold using a hammer and cold chisel, she broke the threshold in half. Oh well.

On Saturday, a work crew showed up, consisting of Jona (from DC), Sandy and Elvis (from NYC). They were converging in our house to give us a motivational boost and some much needed labor. In order to be good hosts, we scrambled to get a toilet into our unit. Now that we had some experience under our belt, it only took a couple of hours to install the toilet (unlike the last time, which took about 3 hours).

Woohoo!

It’s been a long time coming. And now we can finally use our bathroom again. We’ve been using the downstairs bath for the past 2 months. I must say the downstairs bath is pretty nice, but the upstairs is nicer.

We finally were able to use the shower today. And it feels luxurious. Why?
