Every day we’re getting a little closer to finishing. It’s been slow going this week, partly due to me getting a new toy (I’m actually writing this post from my new phone).
All the tile is finally finished. The floor tiling took much longer than expected (which is the norm these days). We used little 1″ hex tiles for the floor. Months ago when we were still planning, I thought it would take forever to lay down little 1″ tiles, one at a time. However, after buying the tiles in 1 foot sheets (about 150 tiles in a sheet), I then figured it’d be a piece of cake. Ha!

Serena and I just could not take my hair anymore. Just too much. So I cheated a bit and got it cut.

It’s been officially 4 months since closing on this house.
And it’s been a looooong 4 months.
We knew from the onset, we were going to renovate both bathrooms and the 1st floor kitchen. During the month before we closed, I figured it would take 1-2 months. During the first week, I made a gentleman’s wager with a contractor, saying:
No problem, the renovations will be done in 3 months
Ha! Well, 4 months later, a bathroom and kitchen is done (mostly), and I finished putting on the grout in the other bathroom.
