Thank goodness for mom! With all the work going on in the house, not to mention my real 8-5 job, packing fell to the bottom of my to-do list. Monday came around and mom stepped in. She packed 80% of our stuff on Monday and Tuesday. The rest was our furniture (which the movers just took as is) and a handful of items that will stay in our apartment until the end of the month.

When the movers came on Wednesday, she oversaw them while I was at work (trying to earn a paycheck to pay for the home, the renovations and the movers!). The movers came in the afternoon and moved quickly, about 3 1/2 hours total to haul our stuff. The couch, which originally took half an hour to get up to our apartment, came down relatively easily. I was really worried about that. By the time I came home on Wednesday night, our home was filled with our furniture and many boxes.

This would be the second move she oversaw for me. Thank you, mom!
