Week Three - Entry Way Planning
Posted by serena under Home Renovation , Front Bedroom , AT 8 Week CureWeek three I fell behind as work became more and more hectic. Tig also started to do the back parking spots, and we felt it was more important to get started on some landscaping while the weather was nice.
I was supposed to have cleaned out our entryway and put in a landing strip. Instead, I tried to design it and until I had more time. While doing some research, I came across this picture from Real Simple Magazine’s website. I liked the idea of having peg rails to hold an assortment of items, from bags, to umbrellas.

I spent some time sketching out some ideas for a landing strip and a coat hanging area, consulting my better half along the way (he’s a tough critic, you know).
We bought two peg rails from the Container Store that will stretch from the door to the end of the wall. Tig’s Paris photo is going to hang above it to take the attention off the pegs and coats. We’ll continue to look for a bench to hold our bags and shoes.
Today, I primed the peg rails while I was working on another project.
Hopefully, we’ll have some progress over the month or so.

Ooh Serena’s sketches! Don’t throw them away! I want them!! (As you can see, I’m a little behind in my remuddling reading, but watch out–I’m a quick reader!)
