Adventures in Remuddling

This is the light fixture we inherited in the front hallway. It has all the qualities I do not like in a light: pull chain, brass, octagonal.

Tig ripped out the offending fixture and did some re-wiring. He also patched a much larger than necessary hole with 90 minute joint compound.

Here he is, installing the new light. He also wired it to a three way switch, so that the lights can be turned on from the bottom and the top of the stairs.

The light installed. We’ll paint the patch another day.
