I used to not be able to live without a TV. Those days are long past, and we have not had a TV set up in over 9 months.

But I finally caved in and brought out our old TV from its box.

Ain’t she a beauty?

OK, it’s a pathetic little setup. It’s only a 13″ TV (heck, my computer monitor is 50% larger). It’s sitting on a chair. And we only get basic cable. And the only reason we get basic cable is b/c we needed it for the cable modem (and that’s because we don’t get DSL).

But we get 3 PBS stations on basic cable. And one of them shows “Ask This Old House” every weekday. Woo hoo! And a special surprise, we get HGTV (home & garden tv). But no Food Network. (apparently Comcast is reading the blog and took away HGTV :( ).

I’m not really a fan of TVs these days (and we probably won’t watch that big spectacle this coming weekend), so they’ll probably be no room in the living room plan for this one. sorry.
