A quick visual tour of our New Years work trip to DC. This is the space above Jona’s kitchen.

Unfortunately, we ran out of tiles.

Tig installed window treatment in the living room…

We painted the bedroom (all arches were freehanded)

Tig spent HOURS installing the master bedroom shower curtain rod. Because it was curved, the rod had to be screwed into the walls. These tiles are rock hard and Jona’s drill was not powerful enough. Tig rented a drill from the local hardware store, broke a bit, bought another one, and drilled for what seemed like hours. It would have been much faster if we had a hammer drill (which was at home in Boston).

We painted two bathrooms. It was not easy cutting in around the toilet.

Although color phobic myself, I suggested the blue and tan color combination in the large living space. Don’t you think it looks nice? Jona chose to use Farrow & Ball’s Borrowed Light for the blue, and a Pratt & Lambert tan custom mixed to look like F&B’s Joa’s White.

As a final task, Tig helped her put up bookshelves.
